SALARY RANGE: HSV: $78,116 - $96,745

    SLO: $87,973 - $108,951

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

 

SUMMARY

Edge Autonomy is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Test Engineer to join our team. The Test Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing test plans to ensure the quality of our products (aircraft, control systems, and mission equipment). Additionally, the Test Engineer will coordinate with the customer and ensure best test planning and execution of the customer’s testing, validation, and verification activities. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify potential issues, troubleshoot problems, and ensure that our solutions meet both technical and functional requirements.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

The following job functions are a basic requirement but are not limited to and may be assigned other duties.

  • Develop, document, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts
  • Execute both manual and automated tests to identify software defects.
  • Analyze and report test results, working closely with the development team to resolve issues.
  • Participate in design and code reviews to provide a testing perspective.
  • Ensure product quality and performance through rigorous testing processes.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of test processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, product management, etc.) to understand product requirements and ensure testing coverage.
  • Collaborate with customers to ensure best test planning and execution of the customer’s testing, validation, and verification activities.
  • Ensure test environments are properly set up and maintained.
  • Track and manage defects using appropriate tracking tools.
  • Ensure that test documentation is clear and concise for future reference.
  • Assumes all other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance. 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

The following are a non-exhaustive list of qualifications for the position:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in testing or a related role.
  • Experience with automated testing tools (e.g. Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience with tracking systems (e.g. JIRA).
  • Experience with systems engineering tools (e.g. Cameo).
  • Experience planning and executing Test & Evaluation Master Plan.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with U.S. Army testing activities, specifically with ATEC.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) is a plus.
