Description

Summary: Develops test programs for digital, mixed signal or RF Integrated devices.  Confers with engineers, customers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects and products and provide production support to ISE customer. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):



  • Consults customers on the basic understanding of hardware design for ATE testing. 

  • Implements known production solutions. 

  • Operates computer-assisted engineering, design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks, such as driving all the analysis tools on ATE tester to do engineering analysis. 

  • Loads test programs, collects data logs, and debugs failing devices.  Uses data analysis tools to do engineering analysis. 

  • Analyzes customer device requirements and identifies optimum test methodologies. 

  • Manages handler/prober communications with tester. 

  • Identifies the Operating Software requirements for ATE workstations (or computers). 

  • Manages the ATE workstation environment for customers. 

  • Communicates with customers to perform debugging and analysis on integrated circuits. 

  • Debugs customer’s test programs and suggests solutions to customers.


Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • 1-5 years of experience in Test Engineer, Product Engineer, or related positions strongly preferred.


Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:



  • Requires considerable knowledge of: modern office methods and procedures; modern business English, spelling and arithmetic; the operations of common office machines and equipment.

  • Requires considerable ability to: use good judgment in making routine decisions in accordance with existing laws, ordinances, regulations and departmental policies and procedures; establish and maintain satisfactory working relationships with departmental personnel and customers.


Computer Skills:



  • Detail knowledge - Digital (Basic and High Speed), Mixed-signal devices and electronics components

  • General Knowledge: RF devices and Memory devices

  • Device Knowledge: Wired Communication Devices, Computation, Graphics & Gaming, Consumer Electronics, Wireless Communication Devices

  • Software skills - C/C++, JAVA, Visual Basic

  • Operating Systems - MS-Windows, MS-Office, UNIX, Linux.


Other Skills and Abilities:



  • Tools: DVM, Oscilloscope, Soldering and Spectrum analyzer



  • Strong customer service and problem solving skills

  • Ability to handle multiple detailed oriented tasks

  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
