Sr. DevOps Engineer
North Hospitality- Remote, US
What you'll be doing:
Must have demonstrable leadership skills, building and managing development teams.
Responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation and maintenance of services and system software and related infrastructure
Ensure systems, operating systems, software systems and related procedures adhere to organizational values
Manage/maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline our development processes.
Investigate and resolve technical issues and provide escalated technical support
Build tools to reduce the occurrences of errors and improve the customer experience
Perform root cause analysis for production errors
Develop scripts to automate visualization
Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
Design and implement appropriate levels of security within the systems.
Document processes, systems, and procedures in detail.
What we need from you:
Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience with managing large-scale Kubernetes clusters
Strong experience with open source metrics and monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, AlertManager
Strong experience with GitOps procedures and workflows using either Flux or ArgoCD
Strong Terraform skills
Strong knowledge of Cloud Platforms with an emphasis on AWS and EKS
Kubernetes tooling: Kubectl, Kustomize, YAML, Helm Charts
Experience with maintaining Linux or Unix based systems.
Knowledge of Source Code Management (Version Control System) tools like Git
Experience with automation/ integration tools like GitHub Actions
Strong Knowledge of software containerization platforms like Docker
Experience in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Golang.
Experience in Linux distributions, Ubuntu/CentOS
Experience in database administration such as Postgres, Neo4j or other relational and NoSQL databases.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as in a team environment
Ability to develop continuous Integration/ Delivery pipelines
Knowledge of Networking: SDN, Switching, Routing, firewalls
Maintaining Payment Card Industry Digital Security Standard (PCI-DSS) compliance
Salary Range: $107,000- $168,000
