Sagetap is a rapidly growing startup that is changing the way software vendors bring products to market. Sagetap is looking for an experienced, curious, and collaborative backend developer to join our fully remote engineering team. As a senior member of an engineering- and innovation-first company, you will be empowered to discuss, design, and implement solutions throughout our platform from ideation all the way to production.
You should be interested in utilizing and advocating for good coding practices, writing code that is testable, observable, and maintainable. Ideally you have thoughts about how systems and code ought to be architected, what tools are best for the job, and how to best collaborate with others to achieve a common goal.
You will have the opportunity to work with many interesting technologies such as Kotlin, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, AWS, and Terraform to build an innovative and evolving product with a team of open and friendly engineers. You will also be given the opportunity to transform this into a full-stack role if you have experience or interest in the front end.

This is a full-time, permanent position reporting to the Head of Engineering. This role is a remote position, and can be based in any location. Since our distributed team works primarily across US time zones, US-based applicants are preferred.
