The Impact you will have in this role:

The Software Development Test Engineer will be responsible for developing test plans and implementing those plans against the corresponding test procedures. They should also be accountable for the development of automation scripts in Selenium java and writing SQL queries.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and implement functional and automated test scripts using Java and testing frameworks.


• Track defects to closure, report test results, continuously supervise execution achievements and raise issues as required.


• Review functional specifications/user stories for testable requirements and develop test cases.


• Identify environmental and data requirements; collaborate with Development and Testing teams to manage and maintain environment and data.


• Develop a functional understanding of the product being delivered including architecture considerations and technical design.


• Maintain traceability of functional requirements/Test Cases to automation test scripts.


• Maintain well organized records of test results.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience


• Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience

Talents Needed for Success:

• Strong hands-on experience using Java 8 for test automation, ability to develop, maintain, improve, and execute automated scripts.


• Experience on API automation with REST Assured


• Experience in build tools such as Maven, adding dependencies, maintaining pom.xml file


• Knowledge of TestNG and JUnit frameworks


• Hands-on experience with Git and Bitbucket


• Ability to write simple to medium complexity SQL queries.


• Experience on automated test integration with Jenkins Pipeline


• Experience of testing in AWS environment (EC2, Kinesis Data Stream, PostgreSQL)


• Ability to interpret technical designs and specifications and design automated solutions accordingly.
