MISSION

Drive technology innovation and research, lead technology strategy and create innovative solutions for our customers, playing a key role in the company’s growth strategy. Provide practical solutions to problems that arise during engineering and architectural processes; articulate architecture to all levels of management, including product owners and architecture leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define the architecture and design; contribute to the development of secure, large-scale, and cost-effective distributed systems.

  • Draw the architecture for new products or new features and functionalities.

  • Drive adoption of enterprise standards and standard methodologies.

  • Make authoritative recommendations for technical issues, standards, and strategies.

  • Identify and champion the creation and use of common services and components.

  • Identify product requirements and limitations to ensure system function.

  • Lead project planning with crisp work breakdown and effort estimation.

  • Build consensus around architectural decisions to provide a stable, secure and scalable product.

  • Provide technical guidance to peers on best practices, recommend appropriate technologies to use and provide coverage on the latest technology trends.

  • Build early prototypes of product components and validate them for technical design, security, scale, and performance.

  • Work with Product/Application teams, peer architects, and partner organizations in technology evaluation, selection, recommendation, and configuration.

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with product managers, architects and technical leads for individual products and applications.

  • Drive solutions architecture design and ownership; articulate architecture solution options to the product owners and architecture leadership.

  • Ensure technology decisions align with architecture standards and strategies.

  • Evaluate and recommend technology and frameworks for flexibility, long-term viability, and time to market.

  • Work with development teams to translate software architecture into design while enforcing standards and best practices.

  • Work closely with product management, engineering, quality assurance and professional services.

  • Actively participate in the development process following to the Agile Architecture principles in SAFe.

  • Create delivery estimates and infrastructure cost model based on the architecture and design approach of the solution.

  • Coordinate with geographically distributed teams.

  • Take part of the production on-call rotation.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related discipline is preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in hands-on development and application design in the delivery of software products.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an architect role in previous large-scale software development projects, preferably SaaS delivery model.

  • Excellent knowledge of software development methodologies and processes.

  • Excellent knowledge in microservice architecture and related designs.

  • Track record that includes the design and release of high-quality, high-performance enterprise software products/applications.

  • Expertise in full-stack Microsoft .NET Platform.

  • Strong experience designing for container-based deployment; working knowledge of Azure or AWS.

  • Deep experience with some, if not all, of the following technologies: Angular, Node and other JavaScript Libraries, Java/JEE, .Net, Kubernetes, Kafka, REST/GRPC services and in general, micro services development experience.

  • Experience as a DevOps Engineer role (or similar role); experience in software infrastructure development is a plus

  • Proven and extensive knowledge of APIs, UIs, infrastructure, security, and emerging technologies.

  • Thorough understanding of data models, relational and NoSQL databases design.

  • Knowledge and experience in any other cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and GCP is a plus.

  • Persistent, have demonstrated results, pay attention to details, and efficient with work.

  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • A passion for healthcare, financial services, behavioral economics, consumerism and/or any combination of these disciplines.

  • Strong interest in learning new things; comfortable pushing boundaries.
