SPA’s Sea Land Air (SLA) Division supports a diverse portfolio of national security government clients, including the Undersea Enterprise, the Navy Surface Community, the Navy MPTE Enterprise, the Army, DoD Agencies, DARPA, OSD, international clients including the Canadian Navy and Australian Defense Force.  Our primary objective is to provide timely, objective and analytic assessments that integrate the policy, operational, technical, programmatic and acquisition aspects of our clients’ challenges.

 

Leveraging both in-domain and cross-domain expertise to maximize our clients’ success, SLA Division acts as trusted agents to senior decision-makers and key leaders and excels at providing data driven analytic insights, systems engineering, strategies and plans that address current and emerging challenges to national security.

 

SPA’s Air Force and Army Programs Group provides aviation-focused analysis and program management for life-cycle systems engineering and logistics support, rapid capabilities development and fielding, cyber warfare operations, nuclear C3, and integrated air and missile defense planning. We provide advanced studies, wargame development, and analysis to support materiel operations, supply strategies, and fleet readiness.

 

SPA has an immediate need for a Senior Software Architect located in Fort Washington, MD. #MC









Responsibilities






Provided support shall include:

  • Engagement and participation with the enterprise architecture team that analyzes and models the platform and platform processes, with particular emphasis on integration and dataflow
  • Establishing and formalizing the enterprise architecture team models to the standards already present in partner architecture models
  • Modeling for the structural, conceptual, and behavioral business processes and the systems that support them

Interface with operational units, senior decision makers, developers, acquisition personnel, and the group technical director to compile, coordinate, and submit requirements guiding the development of ENSU and hosted Mission Applications. Use knowledge and insight of current USCC development, testing, and operational networks to evaluate technical solution proposals and provide integration recommendations/options regarding current and future technologies. Provide operational and strategic support for efforts to modernize and improve the Development Pipeline for the platform and for Mission Applications. Provide written documentation and briefings after technical forums describing new potential dataflows and identifying when policy or capability-based impediments to dataflow are impeding progress. Maintain electronic records in an appropriate electronic Government approved shared location.









Qualifications






  • At least one year experience working in GovCloud, C2S, or other Government-owned cloud environment
  • Proficiency in system analysis and design using Unified Modeling language (UML) documentation within the last 3 years
  • Currency on leading technologies that affect OCO platforms such as Platform as a Service (PaaS), hardware, software, software development techniques, and internet protocols
  • Understanding of Application Programming Interfaces (API) and associated Software Development Kits (SDK) to evaluate interoperability with external enabling components, e.g. access/connectivity infrastructures, tools
  • Familiarity with dataflows within the DoD or IC and with the existing frameworks and concepts associated with moving data to support existing analytic and storage capabilities
  • Knowledge of the policies governing unclassified and classified cloud environments
  • Experience either leading or as a developer under an agile software methodology such as SAFe or SCRUM
  • TS/SCI and active Counterintelligence (Cl) or Full Scope Polygraph granted within the last 4 years
