We are currently looking for an experienced Core Network Engineer who has extensive experience in network design and implementation within a service provider environment.


Located in Abbotsford, you will work as apart of an existing team, in a collaborative and supportive environment.


Some of the responsibilities may include, but will not be limited to:


Responsibilities:



  • Design, implementation & support of LTE transmission network

  • Switches and routers such as Cisco C9Ks, Cisco IR1Ks, Nokia SAR and similar

  • MW solutions PtP & PtMP from Cambium, Aviat, Nokia, Radwin, Ceragon and similar

  • Prepare design documents for LTE transmission network including network diagrams, configuration, and support both customer facing and internal

  • Analyze transmission performance, resolve network problems and optimize network architecture.

  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support

  • Configuration of SD-WAN solutions and/or IPSec for cloud based and on-premise environments 


Skills:



  • Bachelor’s Degree qualification majoring in Telecommunication / IT / Computer Science / Engineering or other related technical discipline

  • Experience of minimum 3 years in design and implementation of IP Networks including the following protocols and architectures:

  • IP/MPLS and VRF Lite

  • BGP, OSPF and EIGRP

  • VLAN and RSTP

  • Demonstrable level of competence including:

  • A thorough under

  • standing of the OSI network model, Ethernet, and TCP/IP networking

  • A practical level of experience implementing and administering common TCP/IP-based services, including DNS, DHCP, HTTP, FTP, SSH, SMTP, etc.

  • Knowledge of LTE/5G networks architecture

  • Excellent verbal communications and interpersonal skills
