Summary:
The Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting the organization's network infrastructure. They will ensure that the network is stable, secure, and able to meet the growing demands of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and maintain the network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure that the network can support the organization's needs.
- Conduct network assessments, identify issues, and develop solutions to improve network performance and availability.
- Provide guidance and support to other IT team members on network-related issues.
- Manage network security by implementing best practices, monitoring network activity, and recommending and implementing security measures.
- Participate in the development and implementation of disaster recovery plans and business continuity strategies.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Document network configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot network-related issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Networking, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in network design, implementation, and support.
- Knowledge of networking protocols and technologies.
- Experience with network equipment from multiple vendors.
- Understanding of network security principles and technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
