Overview:

Scope of Work:

The MineStar on board SW architect will be part of a delivery team of approximately 10 SW engineers.

The SW Architect will have responsibility for providing low level design for software development of the MineStar products that includes Truck Spotting and MineStar Lite.

This position also requires the SW Architect to work directly with other SW engineers, system coordinators, MineStar architects and Machine SW groups.

 

Primary Skills:

Required Qualifications:

•Architecture and design experience

•C/C++ Development experience

•Problem Solving

•Unit test knowledge

•Data Structure knowledge

•Experience with multithreading and object-oriented analysis and design methodologies

•TCP/IP communications protocol experience and Socket Programming Skills

•Remote debugging and analysis (troubleshooting) skills 

 

Secondary Skills:

Desired Qualifications:

•Agile experience is a plus

•Algorithm complexity knowledge

•Ability to work independently and as part of a global team

•Experience in the mining industry

•CAN communications protocol experience

•GPS/map based application experience

•Basic knowledge of Linux and Shell/Bash scripting is a plus

•Have experience with Windows CE applications

•Experience with Windows/MFC

 

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent
