What a day is like

  • Lead the end-to-end design and architecture of scalable machine learning solutions across the organization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define the machine learning strategy and ensure alignment with product and business goals
  • Design and implement machine learning models and pipelines for production systems, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and performance
  • Guide teams through the model development lifecycle; from data ingestion, model training and validation, to deployment and monitoring
  • Leverage cloud-based infrastructure (preferably AWS, GCP, or Azure) to optimize the architecture for machine learning workloads
  • Solve business needs and drive innovation by applying up-to-date AI/ML technologies, frameworks, and best practices
  • Work with engineers to build out data pipelines, feature engineering solutions, and model serving architectures
  • Ensure model explainability, transparency, and compliance with regulatory standards
  • Solve complex technical challenges related to big data, machine learning algorithms, and real-time model serving
  • Provide architectural oversight and strategic direction for scalable ML/AI solutions
  • Architect and optimize machine learning solutions to handle large-scale datasets
  • Conduct model evaluations and ensure performance meets or exceeds business needs
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of ML models into production environments
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to data scientists and machine learning engineers

 

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in machine learning, data science, with a focus on designing and deploying scalable ML solutions
  • Proven experience in ML architecture, including designing data pipelines, model deployment, and automation processes
  • Strong programming skills in languages, such as, Python, Java, or Scala and experience with ML libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn
  • Expertise in cloud platforms (i.e., AWS) for deploying and scaling ML models
  • In-depth knowledge of data engineering, big data technologies (e.g., Apache Spark), and model optimization techniques
  • Hands-on experience with tools like Docker and Kubernetes for containerized applications and orchestration
  • Solid understanding of supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning algorithms
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on model performance, scalability, and deployment
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders
