DescriptionResponsibilities include developing, modifying, and executing software test plans; analyzing and writing test standards and procedures; maintaining documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modifying software; and analyzing test results to ensure functionality and recommending corrective action.

As part of the team, you will:
- Take in charge the qualification of new adapters supporting legacy interfaces like T1/E1, C37.94, Serial (RS232/RS485/RS422) and features like CESoPSN, ADC, T1/E1 EPS protection
- Plan regression testbeds and the gear needed to execute the test plan
- Develop and enhance automated test cases in a Linux-based regression environment
- Troubleshoot issues and work closely with the functional area developers from the software and hardware teams to investigate and resolve bugs
- Apply the industry's best practices in software development, configuration management and quality assurance design and automation
QualificationsRequired:
- Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Systems, Software, Electrical or Communications or equivalent
- Experience and knowledge of programming languages (preferably scripting languages such as TCL, Python, Perl, shell)
- A drive towards best practices and the best quality possible
- Strong attention to detail
Preferred:
- Knowledge and hands-on experience using source control software (e.g. GIT)
- Familiarity with networking test tools (IXIA, Spirent, IPerf, Wireshark, etc.)
- Knowledge of legacy interface technologies like T1/E1, C37.94, Serial (RS232/RS485/RS422)
- Knowledge of Ethernet and optical transceivers
