Junior Application Developer - Artificial Intelligence (Associate)

As a Junior AI Engineer at Mind Over Machines, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our AI-driven services and offerings. Your primary focus will be on developing robust backend systems using Python, integrating AI and machine learning models to process and analyze data efficiently. Simultaneously, your expertise in React will enable you to craft dynamic and user-friendly front-end interfaces that meet our clients' (internal and external) diverse needs. Responsibilities:

• Be a champion for responsible AI development within Mind Over Machines & for our clients.
• Work with internal and external clients to build AI solutions using Python (Flask & Django) and JavaScript (React) as well as no-code/low-code AI solutions like Microsoft Copilot Studio.
• Deliver working code/solutions under the direction of the AI Engineering team leadership.
• Review code from peers to ensure adherence to Mind Over Machines best practices.
• Communicate project & task status to AI Engineering team leadership to avoid project risks.
• Partner with QA team on test automation of new and existing functionalities.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve support issues related to projects.

Day in the life of a Jr. AI Engineer:

• Start the day checking in on today’s priority.
• Actively attend stand up meetings with cross functional, cross partner team members to obtain updates on current initiatives.
• Work on your projects with assistance from Mind Over Machines’ AI Assistants (that you help optimize) through coding, documentation, and test creation.
• Review pull requests from peers to code review the work of others and offer your input (while learning) on other’s code.
• Maintain your task list to provide transparency to the project team with whom you are collaborating.
• Meet with senior team members to be aligned with project, team, and company goals through one-on-one meetings as well as coaching sessions.
• Communicate to ensure that your project team members have what they need to start the next day.

Skills we need from you:

• Collaborate effectively with diverse teams spanning the globe.
• Produce working code with Python and JavaScript specifically in Flask, Django and React application frameworks.
• Familiarity with LLM
• Quickly learn new skills in a team environment.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure (vnets, PaaS, IaaS, security)
• Understand how to work with AI Assistants to accelerate your work.
• Managing multiple projects at a time keeping all projects on the track to meet company goals.
• Navigating multiple tasks while recognizing and communicating risks and impact before it impacts the project.
• Deliver tasks on time, under budget, and within scope.
• Ability to work in a team environment with a constant mind toward lifting the team up.
