Overview






St. Luke's Health System in Boise, ID is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer 1 to join our Cyber Risk team.

 

Under direct supervision, serve as a cyber security technical resource, enhancing security posture and assessing emerging technologies' impact on policies and controls.

  • Assists, contributes, and provides input on the impact of emerging technologies to Cyber Security policies/standards/baselines/controls/etc. while maintaining an awareness of current security risks.
  • Participates in working with Cyber Security partners to enable efficient and effective use of cyber technical controls.
  • Demonstrates understanding of the threat landscape related to the effectiveness of cybersecurity control through educational opportunities, professional networks, and professional organizations.
  • Completes cybersecurity control assessment, audit, vulnerability analyses, and risk assessments.
  • Responsible for maintaining documentation related to architecture, technical specifications, and operational processes.
  • Communicate ideas and technical concepts in a manner that non-technical individuals can understand.
  • Identify issues, gather relevant information, and propose potential solutions. Improves, enhances, and supports existing operations.
  • Participate in incident response by effectively using at least two cyber security technologies.
  • Conducts training sessions with various audiences, provides support, and educates users on security policies and consults on security initiatives and issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.
