Job Description

This position is for an FPGA Test Engineer. It reports to the Manager of FPGA development. We are looking for an FPGA Test Engineer that can potentially contribute to all phases of FPGA testing with specific emphasis on class based environment architecture and design.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect/Design class based test environment that supports multiple FPGA and /or variations.
  • Insure the FPGA meets design requirement: Write test plans for FPGA validation in collaboration with the verifcation (simulation) and design team. 
  • Define and run tests, analyze result and scope down problems to a level reproducible in simulation and/or for easier analysis by design team
  • Participate in project planning activities.
  • Understand product requirements, insuring the FPGA has the required DFT (Design For Test) capabilities.
  • Software and SQA (System test) support in their development and for defect analysis.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of pertinent experience.
  • Deep knowledge of Python
  • Strong OOP coding skills and experience in building class based infrastructure.
  • Strong analytic approach to problem/bug solving
  • Embedded HAL (Hardware Api Layer) design experience is an asset.
  • Ethernet/TCP expertise is an asset. 
  • Experience with scripting languages for tool automation. TCL/Bash/Ruby knowledge is an asset.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to produce clear, concise documentation.
  • Passionate and self-motivated with the ability to learn quickly and independently.
  • Team player capable to interact efficiently within multi-disciplinary engineering team.
  • Pragmatic approach to problem solving.
  • “Can-Do” attitude to overcome any kind of challenges.
  • Ability to take full ownership of his task and project.
  • Bilingual (French and English).
