ABOUT THE ROLE
The Director of Software Architecture is responsible for leading the design across the Power Factors product portfolio. This role involves developing technology roadmaps, working with product development teams ensuring the integration and efficiency of solutions, and aligning technology initiatives with business objectives.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting the technical direction and ensuring the successful architecture and design of scalable software systems. This role requires strong leadership skills, deep technical expertise, and a vision for innovative software solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Planning and Leadership:
- Develop and implement the overall software architecture strategy, aligning it with the company’s business goals.
- Lead the architectural governance process to ensure investments are in line with the enterprise architecture framework.
- Provide strategic guidance and leadership to the architecture team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Architecture Design and Development:
- Oversee the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance systems.
- Oversee the design and development of cloud-based software solutions, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and maintainable.
- Ensure the integration of new technologies into the existing infrastructure.
- Lead the development of architectural models and documentation.

Technology Evaluation and Adoption:
- Evaluate emerging technologies and their potential impact on the organization.
- Drive the adoption of new technologies and methodologies that improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with vendors and partners to assess and implement new solutions.

Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with business leaders, stakeholders, and teams to understand business needs and translate them into solutions.
- Communicate architectural decisions, plans, goals, and strategies effectively to all levels of the organization.
- Foster strong relationships across development teams to ensure alignment and successful project execution.

Risk Management and Compliance:
- Ensure that architecture solutions comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Oversee the implementation of security protocols and disaster recovery plans.

Team Development and Management:
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of architects and other related staff.
- Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and provide professional development opportunities.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

This also means that you are effective at managing multiple tasks of varying complexities, work well under pressure, and are driven by continuous learning and growth. Specifically, we are looking for someone with the following toolbox:
- 10+ years of experience in software development focused on product, with at least 5 years in an architectural or leadership role.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing highly scalable software architectures
- Proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise-level architecture.
- Experience working with globally-distributed development teams. Working experience from Enterprise SaaS industry is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing, cybersecurity, data management, and other relevant technologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture tools and frameworks.
- Strong project management skills.
- Ability to drive change and innovation within an organization.
