Envision Radiology is adding a Decision Support Data Engineer to the team!
Monday - Friday / 40 hours a week | Position Pay Range: $110,250 - $137,800
Open to AL, AZ, CO, FL, ID, LA, MO, NE, NC, OK, TX, UT, VA, WA & WI Markets.
Opportunity for additional, discretionary bonus available. 

Summary/Objective:

The primary responsibility of the Data Engineer is to create and provide business value from corporate data sets. The Data engineer will assist with the development of comprehensive data solutions that provide Envision Radiology leaders with data insights they need to make decisions and service patients with Unmistakable Quality and Spectacular Service.

Essential Functions

1. Build/support multi-dimensional and tabular data models using SSAS, Power BI, and other Microsoft technologies.

2. Utilize SQL to create and curate large data sets, create procedures, and custom views as appropriate to support analyst team.

3. Build ETL processes to import, normalize, and clean data across systems and resources.

4. Evaluate the effectiveness and capability of new data sources and data gathering techniques.

5. Audit and review existing database orientations and propose/implement improvements.

6. Document technical and system specification for all engineering processes.

7. Ensure accuracy of data through testing and business QA processes.

8. Train Analyst on structure and use of datasets and advise on data solutions to company inquiries.

9. Maintain assistive documents including schema definitions/data dictionaries.

10. Other duties as assigned.

Competencies

1. Microsoft BI stack including SQL, SSIS, SSAS, Power BI, etc.

2. Understanding of relational and dimensional database modeling

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervision responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Travel

Quarterly travel to corporate offices in Colorado Springs with some potential changes in frequency. Occasional travel to attend software conferences.

Job Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

  • Knowledge and experience interacting with and managing relational database systems
  • Knowledge/experience of BI languages such as SQL, PostgreSQL, DAX, MDX, Python
  • 3+ years’ experience working in datasets supporting healthcare organizations
  • Knowledge and experience using SSIS and SSAS tools
  • Regular interaction and direct presentation of reporting solutions
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately
  • Ability to excel in a very fast-pace team environment
  • Ability to continuously “exceed” company and customer expectation
  • Strong communication skills & professional demeanor

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; or equivalent education, training and experience in Data Analysis.
