Job description

The DCS Air and Space Technology Sector is seeking a qualified candidate to conduct OPIR analysis at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center. As a member of our team, you will be working with cutting edge technical data for the intelligence community research efforts in Dayton, OH. This offers opportunities to work in a dynamic environment, with state-of-the-art technologies, scientists, engineers, and Subject Matter Experts (SME).

Essential Job Functions:

Provide PIR Time Constrained, Content Centric (TC3) and Content Dominant (CD) in-depth analytical support.

Improve raw data and PED systems supporting Requests for Information (RFI), rapid scripting, process improvement, technique discovery, and raw data validation.

Effectively script in a variety of languages with Python as a minimum. Prefer experience with Elasticsearch and the ability to perform data queries with a variety of differing database technologies.

Support development of new applications and processes.

Identify and explain issues with accepted raw data types.

Identify, explain, and apply benefits of revised processing techniques for improving intelligence relevancy of final products.

Identify and provide techniques and processes to streamline production timelines.

Generate in-depth technical analysis summaries on Gov identified targets of interest.

Provide rapid prototyping of scripts to enhance PIR production and increase transition of capabilities into PIR operations and formalize prototype scripts into the production baseline.

Conduct in-depth technical analysis and provide written recommendations to improve PIR processes.

Investigate and implement new PIR raw data processing and analysis techniques; provide OJT that details the technique discover and instruct analysts how to apply the techniques.

Perform output comparisons and raw data validation tasks against the quality/integrity of raw data (raw or processed).

Maintain and/or manage multiple databases.

Operate independently or as part of an intelligence production team.

Prepare and present briefings on analysis findings and assist in task planning.

Requirements:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

At least a Bachelor level degree in a STEM field and at least 5 years of related experience.

Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information: Active TS/SCI security clearance with the ability to maintain clearance.

Ability to effectively script in a variety of languages with Python as a minimum. Prefer experience with Elasticsearch and the ability to perform data queries with a variety of differing database technologies.

Effective writing and communications skills.

Desired Attributes:

OPIR experience.

Familiarity with ArcGIS, Google Earth, SOCET GXP, COMET, Remote View, MatLAB, MIST, ENVI, AGITK, and/or GETS.

NASIC production experience.
