Key Responsibilities:

  • Work within a team to create and maintain data pipelines using open-source components in a cloud environment.
  • Translate customer requirements into functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Communicate the technical merits or demerits of various data stores, formats, models, or pipeline architectures.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Security Clearance: TS/SCI
  • BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field. Other degrees will be considered with relevant work experience.
  • DoD 8140 Cyber Workforce Basic Qualification equivalent (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE).
  • Demonstrated capability in implementing data transformations using an object-oriented programming language.
  • Understanding of at least one data serialization approach (e.g., protocol buffers).
  • Ability to write valid XML Schema Definition (XSD) files.
  • Familiarity with at least one remote procedure call framework (e.g., gRPC).
  • Ability to operate within or adapt to Agile-flavored project environments, including familiarity with common communication tools, methodologies, and rituals.

Desired:

  • Ability to structure and format tactical data link messages as described in MIL-STD-6016.
  • Understanding of Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, with demonstrable experience in version control, automated testing, and deployment.
  • Experience working productively in cloud-based, virtualized, or containerized environments across multiple operating systems.
  • Working knowledge of various open source/cloud-native/Linux Foundation tools (e.g., NiFi, Kafka, Storm, PostgreSQL).

Basic Compensation: $129k - $180k
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
