In this position... 


As a Systems & Integration Test Engineer, you will work with internal and external customers to understand technical challenges and needs to resolve or improve their EV charging experience. This requires strong communication with both customer and internal technical teams. This technical product position will be responsible for driving root cause understanding of systems issues along with defining technical product requirements/improvements to be implemented by internal teams or key suppliers. 



Responsibilities

What you'll do...



  • Develop in-depth technical knowledge of Ford Charge products and software functions. 

  • Act as technical liaison between product managers, customers, hardware, customer experience and software development teams. 

  • Collect customer/end user feedback to recommended features, functions and strategies related to electric vehicle charging, energy management, and energy services related technologies. 

  • Hands on testing, data collection, analysis, calibration, and validation for existing or new Ford charging products, features & related accessories. 

  • Support product technical requirement and specification aimed at continuous improvement of charging products and systems. 

  • Develop into a Ford Charge systems expert. 

  • Self-motivated individual with a passion for technical systems (electrical, hardware and controls) 

  • Show strong communication and problem-solving skills. 

  • Be comfortable managing technical product and customer support activity. 

  • Participate in product DFMEA reviews. 

  • Lead product root cause fault analysis. 

  • Develop test and validation recommendations related to detected product reliability gaps. 

  • Evaluate customer operational data to support technical recommendations. 

  • Participate in product roadmap planning. 

  • Submit product &/or engineering change requests. 



Qualifications

You'll have... 



  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering. 

  • 4+ years of applications engineering experience with power electronics, solar, energy storage, electric vehicles, renewables, or similar industries 

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal 


Even better, you may have...



  • 4+ years of EV and/or EV Charging systems. 

  • Strong technical knowledge of communication systems and power conversion technology. 

  • Experience with SAE, UL and IEEE standards. 

  • Bilingual preferred. (English & French/Canadian) 

  • Ability to work autonomously 

  • Well organized with high attention to detail 

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities 

  • Strong interest in continuous learning opportunities.
