The Opportunity


Williams International has an exciting opportunity for a Test Engineer to join the Project Team as a Test Engineer. The Test Engineer will support and oversee Engine and components through development and qualification. 


* This position is 100% onsite and no remote or hybrid work is available at this time *


The Test Engineer will also be responsible for:



  • Conduct Engine and component testing within WI test environment and at outside test laboratories including test planning, hardware design, manufacturing support, test setup, test execution, etc.

  • Responsible for and accountable for test execution, test safety and the quality of work

  • Development/Qualification test planning to validate product requirements including risk management

  • Assist in managing the program test budget including cost, schedule and performance

  • Written and oral communication to internal and external customers

  • Oversee Engine and test article assembly, disassembly and investigation of test anomalies

  • Design test specific test cell configuration and test tooling

  • Define necessary instrumentation and design unique hardware as required

  • Author test directive, test reports and qualification documents

  • Comprehension of electro-mechanical components and Electrical and Mechanical Engineering principles

  • Possess a working knowledge of gas turbine engines with an intermediate to advanced knowledge of turbomachinery failure modes

  • Ability to assess system designs for maintainability and develop work instructions

  • Knowledge of gas turbine engine hardware and associated manufacturing techniques


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering and 3 years minimum of relevant test experience

  • Proficiency using NX with Teamcenter 

  • Proficiency using Python 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint)

  • U. S. Citizenship is required

  • Position requires the ability to obtain a U. S. Government Security Clearance, if needed. Candidates selected may be subject to a U. S.
