Job Description

  • Shape and drive long-term AI innovation strategy focusing on the mobility business sector
  • Collaborate/coordinate with business units and central R&D organizations to accelerate bringing AI innovation to the market
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes and provide critical input to the executive leadership in their strategic investments and decision making
  • Be a lead technical expert and thought leader in GenAI, multimodal foundation models and their business applications (ADAS, fleet management, sustainability ...)
  • Take responsibility for providing strategic and technical competence in above-mentioned AI fields within Bosch
    • Create overview of AI activities within Bosch North America
    • Collaborate with our engineering divisions and spearhead PoC's
    • Perform regular Senior Management updates
  • Engage with the AI R&D community: continually strengthen Bosch's network with academia and other top-tier research labs, e.g. via publications, conference attendance, and invited talks

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Masters in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or Machine Learning / Statistics with 7+ years industry experience
  • Prior experience in leading AI R&D/engineering team and bring products/services to the market
  • 3+ years experience with deep learning frameworks, e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX.
  • 5+ years of industrial experience or academic experience on industrial partnership

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or Machine Learning / Statistics
  • Established track record as an innovation leader as demonstrated by business/revenue impact and internal/external awards and recognition
  • Established publication record in top-tier AI conferences/journals
  • Broad knowledge of machine learning algorithms and principles, with a deep understanding in at least one specific area of expertise: Deep knowledge in Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Neural Radiance fields, Multimodal perception etc.
  • Experience in defining product and/or research strategy for a team of 10+ size
