About the Position:

Job Location: Houston, TX(Hybrid)

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Software QA Engineer to join our growing team. As a Software QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of software products by developing automated test scripts, creating test cases, and identifying bugs or issues in the software. You will collaborate with QA team members, software engineers, product managers and other team members to improve the development and deployment process. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about coding, testing, and enhancing product quality.

Key role responsibilities include:
- Develop, maintain and execute automated test scripts to ensure the quality of web applications
- Conduct and analyze test results and be responsible for critical performance of feature releases and updates
- Collaborate closely with other QA engineers, managers, software engineers to understand product architecture, design and implementation for better test strategies
- Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases and test data based on requirements and design specifications
- Perform manual testing as needed, particularly for exploratory, regression and integration testing
- Identify, log and track defects, work with developers to resolve issues
- Participate in code reviews, ensuring that test automation best practices are followed
- Assist in setting up and maintaining Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) pipelines for automated testing

Technical Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
    • Basic understating of software testing principles and methodologies such as unit testing, integration testing and regression testing)
    • Experience with or knowledge of test automation tools such as Cypress, Pytest, Selenium
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
    • Knowledge of CICD pipelines and tools such as CircleCI, Jenkins
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment
    • Experience with cloud environments like AWS, Azure
    • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence)
    • Experience with RESTful APIs testing using Postman or similar tools
