What are the day-to-day responsibilities of a Test Engineer:


  • The safe and timely execution of testing activities.

  • To maintain safe working practices and always adhere to quality control procedures.

  • Ensure all required documentation is completed correctly and on time.

  • Ensure all manufactured products meet the relevant quality standards.

  • To provide a high level of customer service and confidence to demonstrate testing under the presence of either internal or external customers.

  • Host Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) in a professional and timely manner.

  • Travel to customer sites to support installation, diagnose faults, testing and commissioning as and when required.

 


Required Skills and Qualifications of the Test Engineer:


  • The ideal candidate shall have good experience of testing high specification LV Switchboards, Control Panels and associated equipment.

  • Educated to a minimum of ONC in Electrical engineering or equivalent.

  • An HNC in electrical/electronic engineering is favourable

  • Have previous experience of fault finding and diagnosis within the control systems industry.

  • Previous experience of testing of Electronic Protection Relays, Generator Control Systems and associated communication systems would be advantageous.

  • Knowledge and understanding of programming controllers such as PLC’s and transducers or understanding the operation of a controller would also be beneficial.

  • Hold a current ECS Health, Safety and Environmental Assessment is preferable.

  • Full UK Driving Licence.
