What You'll Do
- Pioneer novel machine learning architectures for vector graphics (SVG) generation, solving unique technical challenges at the intersection of AI and scientific visualization
- Lead technical decisions around model architecture and deployment in a greenfield ML environment
- Drive research and implementation of cutting-edge approaches in generative AI and computer vision
- Collaborate with a select team of ML engineers in a high-impact role as one of the first ML specialists
- Balance innovative research with practical implementation to deliver production-ready solutions
- Shape the technical direction of core ML infrastructure
Ideal Candidate Background
- 5+ years of hands-on ML engineering experience building and deploying production models
- Proven track record of delivering high-impact ML models from concept to implementation
- Strong Python programming skills and expertise with modern deep learning frameworks
- Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field
- Experience with computer vision, generative AI, or text-to-image models
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in research with published papers in relevant fields
- Experience with vector graphics (SVG) technologies
- Track record of pragmatic problem-solving and leveraging existing solutions effectively
- Mix of startup and large tech company experience
