Applied Research Solutions is seeking a full-time Senior Acquisition Cybersecurity Engineer located at MacDill AFB, FL. The Senior Acquisition Cybersecurity Engineer’s primary function will be to manage the International Operations, Policy and Management, and Partnered Operations portfolios while supporting SOF AT&L.

Responsibilities include:
- Serve as the SOF AT&L Program Protection Plan (PPP) Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) at the enterprise level
- Provide the Acquisition Executive and Deputy Acquisition Executive with enterprise PPP status reports and recommendations for acquisition cybersecurity support activities across SOF AT&L
- Assist Program Executive Offices and individual Program Managers by providing accurate, current, and comprehensive acquisition cybersecurity technical assistance
- Review PPPs and provide technical insight on any necessary additions or improvements
- Write acquisition cybersecurity policy and guidebooks, especially pertaining to the PPP development, including templates, technical guidance, and overall PPP management
- Represent SOF AT&L at numerous OSD working groups related to acquisition cybersecurity
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/ Technical Experience Requirements:
- Must be a US citizen
- Must have and be able to maintain a TS clearance with SCI Eligibility
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Software Engineering, Engineering Management, or any type of Systems Security Engineering
Years of Experience: 10 years of cybersecurity experience related to Federal IT systems, weapon systems, and acquisition programs
- Minimum 4 years’ experience developing and executing DoD Acquisition PPPs that required Critical Program Information Analysis, Criticality Analysis, Trusted Systems and Networks Analysis, Risk Management Framework, Anti-Tamper Plans, Cybersecurity Strategy, and Security Classification Guides
- Possess a thorough understanding of DoD PPP policy, processes, and procedures
- Possess a thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols for Software Assurance, Hardware Assurance, Cybersecurity, Anti-Tamper, and Trusted Systems and Networks
- Possess familiarity with security requirements for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Direct Commercial Sales (DCS)
- Possess familiarity with the DoD Acquisition Management Process
- Possess familiarity with Controlled Unclassified Information and the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC)
Preferred Experience:
Certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Information Systems Security Engineering (ISSE) certificate
Education and Experience: Master's Degree in Engineering with a focus on Systems Security Engineering and 8 years of cybersecurity experience related to Federal IT systems, weapon systems, and acquisition programs
- Specific experience with SOF AT&L acquisition cybersecurity processes and USSOCOM-related PPPs is highly desired
