Our client is looking for a Principal Software Architect to drive technical design discussions for applications. In this role, you will provide transformational insights to the engineering leadership team and ensure scalability is at the forefront of strategic conversations. This role will also lead strategic roadmaps for the modernization of the technology stack and communicate these roadmaps to senior leadership. The sky is the limit in this role, you will be helping ensure that the organization is at the forefront of technology and leading the charge to ensure that the organization is viewed as the leader in our market space.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead engineering team in further maturity of patterns and principles

Develop long range roadmaps for modernization activities in the cloud for existing and new applications

Partner with value stream teams in translating business needs into innovative business solutions.

Lead the Chief Technology Group in determining viability of proposed new tools and software utilizing cost, performance, risk, and value as measurements for decisions.

Mentor engineers on modern software development practices

Translate and communicate complex technical concepts to senior business leaders

Drive technology innovation through research and market analysis and share emerging technology trends with the team.

Perform vendor assessments and lead technical evaluations that guide teams to fact-based decisions
Requirements

Minimum 10 years of experience designing and developing enterprise solutions, fully deploying systems to business users or external customers

Experience with migrating applications to a cloud-based solution

Test first, continuous integration mindset

Experience with agile development methodologies

Deep technical experience on patterns, principles, and newest trends across the industry
