Position Summary:


The Test Engineer is responsible for developing and executing tests to ensure that product quality and reliability meet customer specifications and requirements. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify testing needs, create test procedures, and analyze results. The Test Engineer will also engage in troubleshooting and problem-solving to enhance product performance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Install and troubleshoot testing equipment.

  • Create and/or revise Acceptance, as well as Qualification Test Procedures/Reports.

  • Exposure and understanding of analog and digital test equipment.

  • Exposure to National Instruments Lab View software development languages

  • Motivated hands-on people to drive improvements in a challenging environment.

  • Provide clear and concise communications.

  • Ability to manage priorities and competing demands easily and effectively.

  • Assist in the maintenance of test lab equipment

  • Upgrade and repair software and hardware of data acquisition computer systems

  • Maintain database of instrumentation used in test department

  • Research new instrumentation

  • Review calibration of test instruments to verify compliance with quality assurance and customer requirements

  • Troubleshoot test set ups to find sources of error.

  • Ability to travel to test labs to support testing.


 


Education and Experience:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related field. Preferably Mechanical Engineering.

  • Proven experience as a Test Engineer or similar role.

  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies and best practices.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Experience in a highly regulated industry, such as, Military, Aerospace, Nuclear, Automotive, or other similar.

  • Due to ITAR Restrictions, an export license may be required.

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Knowledge of Heat and Mass Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Vibration, Numerical

  • Methods, Instrumentation and Measurement systems, Data Acquisition

  • Technical Writing and Analytical skills

  • Software skills- MS Excel, MS Word, Adobe Photo Deluxe, Workbench PC

  • Due to contracts with the United States Government, the candidate must be either a US Citizen or Green card holder.
