Job Description:


TOOLBX is seeking a talented and motivated Junior Front-end Developer to join our passionate team of professionals.


As a front-end developer at TOOLBX, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build out pixel-perfect, fully functional, custom websites for our network of customers. Using HTML, CSS, Javascript, WordPress, and more!


You’ll work closely with TOOLBX’s amazing software Developer. Exceptional performers will also have opportunities to grow into a Software Engineering role.


Responsibilities:



  • Develop and maintain high-quality front-end web applications using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, WordPress.

  • Dig deep into the guts of websites, and figure out how the HTML/CSS/JS makes the website tick and what’s making it break.

  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to transform designs into functional web pages.

  • Implement responsive and mobile-friendly designs to ensure optimal user experience across different devices and screen sizes.

  • Optimise web pages for performance and loading speed, ensuring an excellent user experience.

  • Collaborate with the back-end development team to integrate front-end interfaces with back-end services via RESTful APIs.

  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging of web applications to ensure W3C standards compliance and seamless functionality.

  • Stay updated with the latest web development trends, techniques, and best practices.

  • Provide recommendations for improving existing front-end markup implementation and overall performance.

  • Utilise Figma for efficient collaboration and seamless integration with the design team.

  • Implement and customise WordPress themes and plugins to meet specific project requirements.

  • Work closely with the marketing team to optimise websites for SEO and performance.

  • Communicate effectively with team members, actively participating in code reviews and technical discussions.



Requirements:



  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and resolve issues efficiently.

  • Solid understanding of responsive web design principles and mobile-first development.

  • Proven experience as a front-end developer, with a focus on web design and markup.

  • Experience with front-end frameworks and libraries, such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.

  • Proficiency in Figma for design collaboration and integration.

  • Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to transform designs into pixel-perfect, standards compliant web pages.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.



Nice to Have:



  • Familiarity with user experience (UX) principles and best practices.

  • Understanding of web accessibility standards and techniques.

  • Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices.

  • Experience with performance optimization techniques.

  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
