Title: DevOps Engineer


Location: Denver Metropolitan Area (Hybrid, with two in-office days per month)


Reporting Structure: This role reports to the Systems Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

Our client is seeking a DevOps engineer who exemplifies their core values, works well with leadership and fellow engineering team members, and brings practical experience in development and maintenance of a cloud-based software platform. This role provides a wealth of opportunity for learning, professional growth and collaboration. Flexibility when working with both manual and automated processes is required with a desire and ability to improve processes through automation. The DevOps engineer will utilize strong written communication skills to follow and complete detailed requests, track changes made to various systems and create documentation. As a core member of the Operations team, the DevOps engineer is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted availability of multiple software applications.  


The DevOps Engineer will: 

  • Implement Continuous Delivery and execute automated or manual deployments for development, test and production environments, create CI/CD pipelines 
  • Administer, maintain and troubleshoot Ubuntu Linux based systems 
  • Manage manual and automated changes through Development, QA and Production environments 
  • Work closely with software engineering teams to define infrastructure and deployment requirements
  • Actively participate in agile planning and release processes 
  • Employ continuous learning to grow professional and domain expertise
  • Be available to support occasional deployments during after-hours maintenance windows 
  • Provide occasional on-call support to quickly address and resolve critical production issues outside of regular business hours
  • Other duties as assigned 


Is this you?

  • You have knowledge of industry best practices for Dev Ops in a cloud computing environment
  • You are organized, methodical, and consistent
  • You have a desire to work on rich, interactive web applications in the cloud
  • You have experience working with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure) 
  • You have experience working with Docker based container deployments
  • You have experience with agile software development and working as part of a collaborative agile team. 
  • You are motivated to automate manual tasks 
  • You have worked in an environment that follows CI/CD practices
  • You have experience learning and using a variety of open-source technologies and tools 
  • You have strong attention to detail and can maintain consistency between development and production environments 
  • You have knowledge of SOC-2 or other security frameworks

Compensation 

The base salary range for this position is $80,000- $120,000 annually. Final compensation for this role is determined by a variety of factors, such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, and certification.
