Our work depends on a Data Engineer Advisor joining our team to ensure program integrity through advanced integration of data. The Data Engineer Advisor performs integration of complex large-scale hardware, software, and system architecture components to ensure reliable and sustainable operation of the technology solution. Develops system setup and installation instructions and preventative and corrective maintenance procedures for the technology solution. Implements computer systems in a phased approach of requirements analysis and conceptual design, site survey, system design review, critical design review, installation, integration, and testing. Performs requirements analysis for a wide range of users in areas of automation, data reporting, and analysis.

HOW A DATA ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Support CMS to build systems that collect, manage, and convert raw data into usable information for data scientists and business analysts to interpret.
  • Develop solutions that optimize data flow and reporting for cross functional teams.
  • Implement methods to improve data reliability and quality.
  • Develop and test architectures that enable data extraction and transformation for predictive or prescriptive modeling.
  • Support the design and development of data infrastructure, run tests, and conduct analyses.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in computer science, information systems, or related

Required Experience:

  • 8+ years of related experience supporting database and reporting and analytic solutions.
  • Experience with CMS required
  • Experience supporting CMS working with healthcare data supporting program
  • 5+ Strong working experience with SQL and other databases (i.e., DB2, Postgres, AWS Aurora)
  • 5+ Strong working experience with APIs, Apache NiFi, Kafka, ETL development and methodologies.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
  • Experience supporting CMS programs and knowledge of provider enrollment data.
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to collaborate with others effectively and efficiently.


DESIRED SKILLS:

The likely salary range for this position is $136,000 - $184,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
